About Venus Bodywork:

Tucked away in an unimposing building in SOMA is one of San Francisco's best kept beauty secrets. Venus Bodywork is fast becoming a "go to" destination for its professional work, results oriented focus and value. Located near downtown SF, Venus clients have relatively easy access to street parking while enjoying the benefits of being close to downtown.

Founder Miria Kutcher opened Venus Bodywork in 2004 with the goal of creating a peaceful environment in San Francisco where her clients could receive results oriented spa treatments. Her spa was inspired more by the esthetic clinics in her native Brazil rather than the more typical pampering day spa experience in the U.S.

Venus has built a loyal following over the past few years in San Francisco. The Venus team has deep industry knowledge and years of practical experience that help to center treatments around individual needs, with the primary focus to help clients reach their goals. At the core of all Venus services are natural ingredients and the latest non invasive treatments which produce therapeutic and esthetic benefits that help to foster a healthier mind body relationship.

The Venus environment is simple and clean, esthetically pleasing with no pretense or attitude. Our staff is friendly, welcoming, and will go out of its way to provide a relaxing, rejuvenating session. Who we are:

Miria Kutcher

Miria is much more than a licensed esthetician and massage therapist; she brings extensive training in therapeutic spa treatments, an advanced education in hypnotherapy and NLP to her practice. As the founder of Venus Bodywork, Miria has helped to pioneer customized treatment regimes for her clients to help them enjoy a more shapely body and most importantly an improved self esteem. She provides a well rounded therapeutic service with her nurturing sensitivity. Her formal training includes Acupressure with the Acupressure Institute, Massage with the San Francisco School of Massage, NLP and Time Lime Therapy with Tad James, skin care with the San Francisco College of Cosmetology, Endermologie with LPG Training Center, Cosmecanique and Lypossage.

Miria also brings many treatment echniques and products from Brazil to her practice, many of which can only be found in Brazil such as plaster body wraps, Cryotherapy and bamboo therapy. Miria’s passion is to bring balance and beauty into the lives of all Venus Bodywork clients while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Sandy Hoffman

Sandy became studied massage therapy initially to practice on her family. As a mother of two, she understood the benefits that massage had on growing bodies and its healing effects on mature ones as well – especially when her own mother became ill. She realized that her new found interest was a “gift” that she could share to help serve others. She completed her formal training at the San Francisco School of Massage in 2006 and now her education and practice in massage includes Swedish, Trigger Point, Reflexology, Pre/Post Natal - and several other modalities. She is also CPR and First Aid Certified. Sandy expanded her interests and skills when joining Venus Bodywork in early 2009 and is committed to helping her clients achieve their goals of a healthy, beautiful body and a balanced life. The combination of therapeutic and esthetic programs offered at Venus Bodywork aligns well with her passion for wellness of mind, body and spirit.

Rosangela Diniz

Rosangela was first introduced to Venus Bodywork in early 2006 when she became a client. She loved the treatments and was so satisfied with the results that over time, she became interested in what Venus Bodywork had to offer professionally. Rosangela is a licensed estheticiaon, a CMT and has been trained extensivley in many different Spa techniques. Rosangela has also received extensive training with Miria at Venus Bodywork and is now extremely well versed in all of the treatments options that Venus has to offer. Rosangela has found a personally satisfying niche with Venus Bodywork and has a real passion in helping Venus clients achieve their goals.

Tanzya Almazan

Tanya started her career in the medical field working with all types of patients, in her work, she quickly realized that a patients skin can show the first signs of illness or imbalance in the body. With a thirst for knowledge, she attended the Newberry School of Beauty in Los Angeles in 2004 specializing in medical aesthetics. Since graduation she has completed extensive training in many different modalities including facials, waxing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and body treatments. She strives to educate her clients about their skin, recommending personalized products and treatments to achieve the best results possible. "Your skin is the best outfit you'll ever wear!" Tanya is very excited to be working with Venus Bodywork and will go out of her way to make sure Venus clients are satisfied.
