About Venus Bodywork:
Tucked away in an unimposing building in SOMA is one of San Francisco's best kept beauty secrets. Venus Bodywork is fast becoming a "go to" destination for its professional work, results oriented focus and value. Located near downtown SF, Venus clients have relatively easy access to street parking while enjoying the benefits of being close to downtown.
Founder Miria Kutcher opened Venus Bodywork in 2004 with the goal of creating a peaceful environment in San Francisco where her clients could receive results oriented spa treatments. Her spa was inspired more by the esthetic clinics in her native Brazil rather than the more typical pampering day spa experience in the U.S.
Venus has built a loyal following over the past few years in San Francisco. The Venus team has deep industry knowledge and years of practical experience that help to center treatments around individual needs, with the primary focus to help clients reach their goals. At the core of all Venus services are natural ingredients and the latest non invasive treatments which produce therapeutic and esthetic benefits that help to foster a healthier mind body relationship.
The Venus environment is simple and clean, esthetically pleasing with no pretense or attitude. Who is behind Venus?
Miria Kutcher
Miria is much more than a licensed esthetician and massage therapist; she brings extensive training in therapeutic spa treatments from both the US and Brazil, an advanced education in hypnotherapy and NLP to her practice. As the founder of Venus Bodywork, she has helped to pioneer customized treatment regimes for her clients to help them enjoy a more shapely body and most importantly improved self esteem. Her formal training includes Acupressure with the Acupressure Institute, Massage with the San Francisco School of Massage, NLP and Time Lime Therapy with Tad James, skin care with the San Francisco College of Cosmetology, Endermologie and Cosmecanique with LPG , Dermosonic with Sybaritic, Heccus with Ibramed and Sudatonic. Miria also brings many treatments, techniques and products from Brazil to her practice, many of which can only be found in Brazil such as plaster body wraps, Cryotherapy, bamboo therapy. Miria uses her diverse background and training to provide therapeutic services with nurturing sensitivity.
Miria's passion is to bring balance and beauty into the lives of all Venus Bodywork clients while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Miria is joined by several highly skilled esthetician and bodyworkers that share her vision. The Venus Bodywork staff is as passionate as Miria about delivering an uncompromising and initimate suite of services focused around delivering results to Venus clients.
Marcia
Marcia is from Sao Paulo Brazil and has worked with her sister Miria at Venus Bodywork over the past several years. During her tenure, she has received extensive training in all of the different specialized aesthetic machines and protocols. She is also a certified medical assistant with advanced training as a substance abuse counselor, she was an elementary school teacher in her native Brazil and she is an avid gym goer - really likes her work outs! Her multi-faceted skill set helps to provide clients with a welcoming and nurturing experience at Venus. In addition to providing excellent results oriented sessions at Venus, Marcia also manages the day to day operations of the business, we are lucky to have her.
Genevieve
Genevieve has been helping clients create their ideal vision of beauty for years as a professional makeup artist. She has worked on professional photo shoots, dance productions, and special events, yielding a unique and perfected look for each. Her foray into Esthetics is something she has been preparing for during her extensive time in the beauty industry where she has working with the latest and most advanced cosmetics and skincare lines on the market. She is extremely passionate about educating the clients she works with, ensuring that their needs are addressed and that they come away with a greater understanding of how to properly care for their skin. Since completing the Aveda Institute's Esthiology program, she is able to apply her unique training and customize her treatments to not only address the skin being worked on, but also the mind and body, ensuring total care and relaxation when in her hands.
Rosavel
Rosavel has extensive experience as a therapist working with a variety of body sculpting machines: endermologie, dermosonic and ultrasound. She is also has years of experience with several different slimming and cellulite treatments including: body wraps, lymphatic drainage, body scrubs and slimming massage. She is a licensed esthetician and works at Venus in both the body and facial treatment rooms. Rosavel brings spa related work experience from her native Mexico where she worked at the Cosmetomedica medspa, a popular spa where the current Miss Universe was a client!
Samantha
Samantha completed the rigorous body sculpting treatment training at Venus Bodywork in 2010 and will continue to provide her excellent "touch" to our treatments. Sam is a licensed massage therapist, she worked for over 3 years at Darrow Chiropractic working as a chiropractor's assistant and a massage therapist. She studied massage in San Francisco with over 750 hours of massage training. Sam is also CPR certified, with OSHA and HIPPA certificates.
