Radiancy Micro Phototherapy Skin Rejuvenation

Facial Skin Rejuvenation Using Light and Heat Energy

Skin rejuvenation encompasses several different categories of skin treatments; the removal of pigmented lesions, the removal of vascular lesions, the improvement of skin texture and tone, and the smoothing of lines and wrinkles. A comprehensive skin rejuvenation treatment will ideally include several of these treatments. Radiancy Rejuvenation employs light and heat energy (LHE) to address these different skin conditions.

Radiancy LHE is delivered effectively and safely to the skin to treat a variety of conditions; psoriasis, acne, vascular and pigmented lesions. At the same time, the treatments will effectively minimize wrinkles, stimulate and renew collagen growth.

Benefits

  • Non-invasive, non-abrasive treatments
  • No down time
  • Clinically proven results
  • Proven safety and efficacy for all skin types
  • Especially suited for Skin Types V-VI

Collagen Renewal & Wrinkle Reduction

Radiancy treatments stimulate new collagen growth and help to both replenish and even out the dermis layer. The tone and texture of the skin improves and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles fade as collagen rebuilds.

Radiancy Skin RejuvenationLight and Heat Energy effect on skin texture:

  • Stimulation of new collagen growth
  • Replenishment of the dermis layer
  • Improved tone and texture
  • Diminishes fine lines and wrinkles fade as collagen rebuilds

LHE creates a mild thermal insult to the dermal/epidermal junction.

The thermal trauma triggers a wound-heal response and new collagen remodels under the undamaged layer.

“LHE phototherapy has shown an excellent safety profile for skin types I through VI, and consistent results for pigmented and vascular lesions, primarily with reduction of unwanted pigment and improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.” – Gregory Zella, D.O. – South Coast Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Largo, FL

Technically Speaking:

Near and mid infrared wavelengths (700 and above) are directly absorbed by intra and extracellular water. The resulting mild thermal insult to the papillary and upper reticular dermis leads to fibroblast activation. Fibroblasts are the cells of connective tissue responsible for making the collagen and elastin fiber cells found in the connective tissue of the dermis.

The creation of new collagen and connective material caused by the thermal insult and subsequent fibroblast activation occurs over a period of a few weeks to a few months. This wound healing response leads to improvement in skin texture and the smoothing of fine lines that holds up over several years if patients undergo an initial intensive series of treatments and keep up regular monthly maintenance.

What does this mean?

Light and heat energy from Radiancy creates a mild thermal abrasion to the dermal/epidermal junction. This mini “thermal trauma” triggers a wound-heal response and new collagen growth is stimulated under the treated layer. This healing response leads to the improvement in skin texture and the smoothing of fine lines that has been shown to hold up over several years.

What to expect during the session:

In preparation for your Radiancy treatment, your skin will be cleansed and exfoliated. Due to the brightness of the light emitted, your eyes will be covered for your comfort. The treatment will be performed on the entire surface of your face, focusing on the areas in need of additional attention. Your service will be completed with a customized application of treatments and hydration.

What to expect after the session:

Minor redness may be present but will subside quickly afterwards. Increased brightness, reduction of pore size and firming are usually noticeable 2-4 days after the treatment.

Recommended protocols:

For maximum results, individuals may need 1-2 treatments weekly for up to 10 sessions. Once desired results are achieved, 1-2 sessions monthly would be recommended to maintain results. Pairs very well with the Cosmecanique.
